VIDEO/PHOTOS: The driver of a fuel tanker truck was killed after, authorities said, the vehicle fell off a ramp on Interstate 595 in Davie and exploded.
Florida Highway Patrol and Davie Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the crash near the Florida Turnpike, at around 3:45 p.m., Sunday.
Investigators said the driver was heading westbound when he struck the concrete wall on the right shoulder and flipped over.

About a dozen local firefighters are about to embark on a long journey to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Robeson County paramedics and residents can feel a little safer Wednesday, the day some county EMS personnel donned body cameras in an effort to protect paramedics from assault and to provide the best care to patients.

One worker was injured.

Nick, the Newburgh firedog, is not only one of the guys at the city fire department, he's also an internet sensation on TikTok.

Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire on Poplar Lane in Citronelle Monday.
When Citronelle Fire and Rescue arrived at the home, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof. No one was inside the home at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Cheers filled the air as Steve Hines drove the Belmar First Aid Squad's 1938 Ford ambulance one last time.
As Hines pressed on the gas Friday, the sirens sung. He gave the 83-year-old ambulance as much gas as it would take to accelerate onto a truck that would drive it approximately 650 miles to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan — the ambulance's new home.

General Motors is telling owners of some older Chevrolet Bolts to park them outdoors and not to charge them overnight because two of the electric cars caught fire after recall repairs were made.
The company said Wednesday that the request covers 2017 through 2019 Bolts that were part of a group that was recalled earlier due to fires in the batteries.

VIDEO: At least one person is dead after a twin-engine plane crashed into a home near the Monterey Regional Airport Tuesday morning.
According to KION-TV, officials confirmed crews found one deceased individual still inside the plane.

Dash camera video captured someone throw a lit firework into a car stopped at a Midtown intersection on the night of July 4.
Kathy Kirby told News 2 that a car pulled up next to her son's convertible, as he was stopped at a traffic light along Church Street at 17th Avenue North Sunday night. Someone in that car then tossed a “large, lit firework” into the convertible, which had the top down, striking her son in the back of the head, Kirby explained.

A citizen was burned and two firefighters were treated for medical issues, HFD Chief Samuel Peña later said.

Mark Monson's life changed forever while walking his dog near the Savage Fire Department 26 years ago. Monson started chatting with some of the volunteer firefighters who encouraged him to apply.
"I don't know how many people can look back at one moment in time and figure out when their life changed for the positive but every positive thing I have in my life came from that moment forward," Monson said.
